॥ ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ अथ संस्मरतुर्भक्त्या दम्पती तौ भवाम्बिकाम् ॥ प्रसूतिहेतवे तत्र देवकार्यार्थमादरात् ॥१॥
Brahmā said: Then the couple, with great devotion remembered the goddess for her birth in order to carry out the work of the gods.
english translation
॥ brahmovAca ॥ atha saMsmaraturbhaktyA dampatI tau bhavAmbikAm ॥ prasUtihetave tatra devakAryArthamAdarAt ॥1॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततस्सा चण्डिका योगात्त्यक्तदेहा पुरा पितुः ॥ ईहया भतितुं भूयस्समैच्छद्रिरिदारतः ॥ २ ॥
Then the Goddess who formerly had cast off her body to spite her father, by means of her Yogic powers, desired to be born of the wife of the mountain.
english translation
tatassA caNDikA yogAttyaktadehA purA pituH ॥ IhayA bhatituM bhUyassamaicchadriridArataH ॥ 2 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसत्यं विधातुं स्ववचः प्रसन्नाखिलकामदा ॥ पूर्णांशाच्छैलचित्ते सा विवेशाथ महेश्वरी ॥३॥
In order to make her own words true, the great goddess, who bestows everything desired, delightedly entered the mind of the mountain with all her constituent elements.

satyaM vidhAtuM svavacaH prasannAkhilakAmadA ॥ pUrNAMzAcchailacitte sA vivezAtha mahezvarI ॥3॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविरराज ततस्सोतिप्रमदोपूर्वसुद्युतिः ॥ हुताशन इवाधृष्यस्तेजोराशिर्महामनाः ॥४॥
Hence he shone with an extraordinary splendour and great joy. With a resplendent brilliance, he, of lofty mind, became invincible like a blazing fire.

virarAja tatassotipramadopUrvasudyutiH ॥ hutAzana ivAdhRSyastejorAzirmahAmanAH ॥4॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततो गिरिस्स्वप्रियायां परिपूर्णं शिवांशकम् ॥ समाधिमत्वात्समये समधत्त सुशंकरे ॥ ५ ॥
Then, in a beneficent hour, the lord of the mountains deposited in his beloved the entire constituent element of Śiva by means of ecstatic contemplation.

tato girissvapriyAyAM paripUrNaM zivAMzakam ॥ samAdhimatvAtsamaye samadhatta suzaMkare ॥ 5 ॥
