वृत्रशत्रावपि क्रुद्धे वेदनाशं सपक्षकम् ।। पविक्षतानां देवर्षे पक्षच्छिदि वराङ्गकम् ।। ४७ ।।

sanskrit

O celestial sage, when Indra, the slayer of Vṛtra, became angry and began to chop off the wings of mountains, he retained his wings, nay, he did not even feel the pain of being wounded by the thunderbolt.

english translation

vRtrazatrAvapi kruddhe vedanAzaM sapakSakam || pavikSatAnAM devarSe pakSacchidi varAGgakam || 47 ||
