तेजोराशेः प्रभावात्तु सा तु दृष्ट्वा सुरैश्शिवा ।। तुष्टुवुस्तां पुनस्ते वै सुरा दर्शनकांक्षिणः ।।६।।

sanskrit

Śivā was seen by the gods through the power of huge column of brilliance. Again the gods eulogised her in order to have a sight of her.

english translation

tejorAzeH prabhAvAttu sA tu dRSTvA suraizzivA || tuSTuvustAM punaste vai surA darzanakAMkSiNaH ||6||

अथ देवगणास्सर्वे विष्ण्वाद्या दर्शनेप्सवः ।। ददृशुर्जगदम्बां तां तत्कृपां प्राप्य तत्र हि ।। ७ ।।

sanskrit

Then Viṣṇu and other gods who were desirous of seeing her saw the mother of the universe there itself after receiving her favour.

english translation

atha devagaNAssarve viSNvAdyA darzanepsavaH || dadRzurjagadambAM tAM tatkRpAM prApya tatra hi || 7 ||

बभूवानन्दसन्दोहस्सर्वेषां त्रिदिवौकसाम्।। पुनः पुनः प्रणेमुस्तां तुष्टुवुश्च विशेषतः ।। ८ ।।

The dwellers of heaven were extremely pleased, they bowed to her again and again and particularly eulogised her.

The gods said: O Śivā, O great Goddess, O mother of the universe we gods bow to you, the destroyer of all distress.

न हि जानन्ति देवेशि वेदश्शास्त्राणि कृत्स्नशः ।। अतीतो महिमा ध्यानं तव वाङ्मनसोश्शिवे ।।2.3.4.१०।।

sanskrit

O Goddess, neither the Vedas nor the sacred texts know you perfectly. Your greatness, O Śivā, is beyond the scope of speech and mind and cannot even be meditated upon.

english translation

na hi jAnanti devezi vedazzAstrANi kRtsnazaH || atIto mahimA dhyAnaM tava vAGmanasozzive ||2.3.4.10||
