परिश्रमवतस्तस्य विष्णोः स्वाङ्गेभ्य एव च ॥ जलधारा हि संयाता विविधाश्शिवमायया ॥५१॥
From the body of Viṣṇu who thus exerted himself, water-currents of various sorts began to flow as a result of Śiva’s Māyā.
english translation
parizramavatastasya viSNoH svAGgebhya eva ca ॥ jaladhArA hi saMyAtA vividhAzzivamAyayA ॥51॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअभिव्याप्तं च सकलं शून्यं यत्तन्महामुने ॥ ब्रह्मरूपं जलमभूत्स्पर्शनात्पापनाशनम् ॥ ५२ ॥
O great sage, the Supreme Brahman in the form of divine waters pervaded the entire void. A mere contact with the same is destructive of sins.
english translation
abhivyAptaM ca sakalaM zUnyaM yattanmahAmune ॥ brahmarUpaM jalamabhUtsparzanAtpApanAzanam ॥ 52 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतदा श्रांतश्च पुरुषो विष्णुस्तस्मिञ्जले स्वयम् ॥ सुष्वाप परम प्रीतो बहुकालं विमोहितः ॥ ५३ ॥
Viṣṇu, the weary person went to sleep amidst the waters. He was in that blissful state of delusion for a long time.
english translation
tadA zrAMtazca puruSo viSNustasmiJjale svayam ॥ suSvApa parama prIto bahukAlaM vimohitaH ॥ 53 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनारायणेति नामापि तस्यसीच्छ्रुतिसंमतम् ॥ नान्यत्किंचित्तदा ह्यासीत्प्राकृतं पुरुषं विना॥५४॥
As approved in the Vedas, his name came to be established as Nārāyaṇa (Having water as abode). Excepting for that Primordial Being there was nothing then.
english translation
nArAyaNeti nAmApi tasyasIcchrutisaMmatam ॥ nAnyatkiMcittadA hyAsItprAkRtaM puruSaM vinA॥54॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएतस्मिन्नन्तरे काले तत्त्वान्यासन्महात्मनः ॥ तत्प्रकारं शृणु प्राज्ञ गदतो मे महामते ॥ ५५ ॥
In the meantime, the Principles too were evolved out of the Great soul. O wise one of great intellect, listen to my enumeration of the same.

etasminnantare kAle tattvAnyAsanmahAtmanaH ॥ tatprakAraM zRNu prAjJa gadato me mahAmate ॥ 55 ॥
