ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ तस्य तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा दक्षो रोषसमन्वितः॥ उवाच त्वरितं मूढः प्रहसन्निव दुष्टधीः ॥३६॥
Brahmā said: On hearing his words, the foolish and evil-minded Dakṣa became furious in a trice and said mockingly.
english translation
brahmovAca ॥ tasya tadvacanaM zrutvA dakSo roSasamanvitaH॥ uvAca tvaritaM mUDhaH prahasanniva duSTadhIH ॥36॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमूलं विष्णुर्देवतानां यत्र धर्मस्सनातनः॥ समानीतो मया सम्यक् किमूनं यज्ञकर्मणि ॥३७॥
Dakṣa said: Viṣṇu who is the prime cause of all deities and in whom the eternal virtue resides has been invoked here by me. What is it that the sacrificial rite lacks in?
english translation
mUlaM viSNurdevatAnAM yatra dharmassanAtanaH॥ samAnIto mayA samyak kimUnaM yajJakarmaNi ॥37॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयस्मिन्वेदाश्च यज्ञाश्च कर्माणि विविधानि च ॥ प्रतिष्ठितानि सर्वाणि सोऽसौ विष्णुरिहागतः॥३८॥
Viṣṇu in whom all the Vedas, sacrifices and the different rites are founded has graced this place by his presence.
english translation
yasminvedAzca yajJAzca karmANi vividhAni ca ॥ pratiSThitAni sarvANi so'sau viSNurihAgataH॥38॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसत्यलोकात्समायातो ब्रह्मा लोकपितामहः ॥ वेदैस्सोपनिषद्भिश्च विविधैरागमैस्सह ॥ ३९ ॥
Brahmā, the grandfather of the worlds, has come here from Satyaloka along with the Vedas, Upaniṣads and the Āgamas.
english translation
satyalokAtsamAyAto brahmA lokapitAmahaH ॥ vedaissopaniSadbhizca vividhairAgamaissaha ॥ 39 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतथा सुरगणैस्साकमागतस्सुरराट् स्वयम्॥ तथा यूयं समायाता ऋषयो वीतकल्मषाः ॥2-2-27-४०॥
Similarly, the king of devas himself has come along with all the devas. You too, the sages free from sins, have come.
english translation
tathA suragaNaissAkamAgatassurarAT svayam॥ tathA yUyaM samAyAtA RSayo vItakalmaSAH ॥2-2-27-40॥
