तेषु सर्वेषु धिष्ण्येषु यथायोग्यं च संस्थिताः ।। सन्मानिता अराजंस्ते सकला विष्णुना मया ।। ११ ।।

sanskrit

In all those places they stationed themselves in a befitting manner after being duly honoured. They shone along with Viṣṇu and me.

english translation

teSu sarveSu dhiSNyeSu yathAyogyaM ca saMsthitAH || sanmAnitA arAjaMste sakalA viSNunA mayA || 11 ||

वर्त्तमाने महायज्ञे तीर्थे कनखले तदा ।। ऋत्विजश्च कृतास्तेन भृग्वाद्याश्च तपोधनाः ।। १२ ।।

sanskrit

In that sacrifice that was being performed in that holy place of Kanakhala,[3] Bhṛgu and other sages were made Ṛtviks by him (Dakṣa).

english translation

varttamAne mahAyajJe tIrthe kanakhale tadA || Rtvijazca kRtAstena bhRgvAdyAzca tapodhanAH || 12 ||

अधिष्ठाता स्वयं विष्णुस्सह सर्वमरुद्गणैः ।। अहं तत्राऽभवं ब्रह्मा त्रयीविधिनिदर्शकः ।। १३ ।।

sanskrit

Viṣṇu himself was the presiding officer along with the Maruts. I was the Brahmā (a special officiating deity) the director and guide for Vedic rituals.

english translation

adhiSThAtA svayaM viSNussaha sarvamarudgaNaiH || ahaM tatrA'bhavaM brahmA trayIvidhinidarzakaH || 13 ||

तथैव सर्वदिक्पाला द्वारपालाश्च रक्षकाः ।। सायुधास्सपरीवाराः कुतूहलकरास्सदा ।। १४ ।।

The guardians of the quarters became the gatekeepers and watchmen. They were well-equipped in arms and had many attendants to assist them. They were very enthusiastic.

english translation

tathaiva sarvadikpAlA dvArapAlAzca rakSakAH || sAyudhAssaparIvArAH kutUhalakarAssadA || 14 ||

उपतस्थे स्वयं यज्ञस्सुरूपस्तस्य चाध्वरे।। सर्वे महामुनिश्रेष्ठाः स्वयं वेदधराऽभवन् ।।१५।।

In that altar, sacrifice itself was present in its beautiful embodied form. The excellent sages became the holders of the Vedas.

upatasthe svayaM yajJassurUpastasya cAdhvare|| sarve mahAmunizreSThAH svayaM vedadharA'bhavan ||15||
