तदाकर्ण्यामहत्यंतमनिंदंतं मुहुर्मुहुः॥ भृग्वादीनपि विप्रांश्च वेदसृट् शिव तत्त्ववित् ॥४१॥
On hearing that, I, the creator of the Vedas and the knower of the principles of Śiva rebuked him frequently and also the brahmins Bhṛgu and others.
english translation
tadAkarNyAmahatyaMtamaniMdaMtaM muhurmuhuH॥ bhRgvAdInapi viprAMzca vedasRT ziva tattvavit ॥41॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptईश्वरोपि वचः श्रुत्वा नंदिनः प्रहसन्निव ॥ उवाच मधुरं वाक्यं बोधयंस्तं सदाशिवः ॥४२॥
On hearing the words of Nandin, the lord Sadāsiva laughed and spoke sweetly to him enlightening him further.
english translation
Izvaropi vacaH zrutvA naMdinaH prahasanniva ॥ uvAca madhuraM vAkyaM bodhayaMstaM sadAzivaH ॥42॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसदाशिव उवाच ॥ शृणु नंदिन् महाप्राज्ञ न कर्तुं क्रोधमर्हसि॥ वृथा शप्तो ब्रह्मकुलो मत्वा शप्तं च मां भ्रमात् ॥ ४३ ॥
Sadāśiva said: O Nandin of great intellect, listen. Do not get angry. You have cursed the brahmins in vain, erroneously thinking that I have been cursed.
english translation
sadAziva uvAca ॥ zRNu naMdin mahAprAjJa na kartuM krodhamarhasi॥ vRthA zapto brahmakulo matvA zaptaM ca mAM bhramAt ॥ 43 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवेदो मंत्राक्षरमयस्साक्षात्सूक्तमयो भृशम् ॥ सूक्ते प्रतिष्ठितो ह्यात्मा सर्वेषामपि देहिनाम् ॥ ४४ ॥
Vedas are in the form of syllables of verses and hymns. The Self is established in the Sūkta, whomsoever it may belong to.

vedo maMtrAkSaramayassAkSAtsUktamayo bhRzam ॥ sUkte pratiSThito hyAtmA sarveSAmapi dehinAm ॥ 44 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतदाकर्ण्यामहत्यंतमनिंदंतं मुहुर्मुहुः॥ भृग्वादीनपि विप्रांश्च वेदसृट् शिव तत्त्ववित् ॥४१॥
Hence do not angrily curse the knowers of the Self. The Vedas shall not be cursed by anyone, not even by the evil-minded.
