sanskrit

O mother Satī, since I have the good fortune of seeing you, there is no doubt that everything will be well with me by your favour.

english translation

darzanaM te yadi prAptaM sarvathA kuzalaM mama || bhaviSyati na saMdeho mAtaste kRpayA sati || 36 ||

सीताप्राप्तिवरो देवि भविष्यति न संशयः ।। तं हत्वा दुःखदं पापं राक्षसं त्वदनुग्रहात् ।। ३७ ।।

sanskrit

By your blessings I shall have the fortune of acquiring Sītā after killing the demon of evil intention who is the cause of trouble.

english translation

sItAprAptivaro devi bhaviSyati na saMzayaH || taM hatvA duHkhadaM pApaM rAkSasaM tvadanugrahAt || 37 ||

महद्भाग्यं ममाद्यैव यद्यकार्ष्टां कृपां युवाम् ।। यस्मिन् सकरुणौ स्यातां स धन्यः पुरुषो वरः ।। ३८ ।।

sanskrit

It is my good fortune that both of you have taken pity on me. That man who is the object of your mercy is the best of blessed people.

english translation

mahadbhAgyaM mamAdyaiva yadyakArSTAM kRpAM yuvAm || yasmin sakaruNau syAtAM sa dhanyaH puruSo varaH || 38 ||

इत्थमाभाष्य बहुधा सुप्रणम्य सतीं शिवाम् ।। तदाज्ञया वने तस्मिन् विचचार रघूद्वहः ।। ३९ ।।

sanskrit

After speaking thus and bowing in diverse ways to Satī, Rāma, the scion of the family of Raghu roamed in the forest with her permission.

english translation

itthamAbhASya bahudhA supraNamya satIM zivAm || tadAjJayA vane tasmin vicacAra raghUdvahaH || 39 ||

अथाकर्ण्य सती वाक्यं रामस्य प्रयतात्मनः ।। हृष्टाभूत्सा प्रशंसन्ती शिवभक्तिरतं हृदि ।। 2.2.25.४० ।।

On hearing these words of Rāma of pious rites, Satī was delighted. She praised him in her heart for his devotion to Śiva.
