यो भक्तिमान्पुमाँल्लोके सदाहं तत्सहायकृत् ॥ विघ्नहर्ता रिपुस्तस्य दंड्यो नात्र च संशयः ॥ ४१ ॥
I always assist a man endowed with devotion and remove his obstacles. A person devoid of devotion is worthy of being punished. There is no doubt about it.
english translation
yo bhaktimAnpumA~lloke sadAhaM tatsahAyakRt ॥ vighnahartA ripustasya daMDyo nAtra ca saMzayaH ॥ 41 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभक्तहेतोरहं देवि कालं क्रोधपरिप्लुतः अदहं वह्निना नेत्रभवेन निजरक्षकः ॥४२॥
I am the protector of my devotees. For the protection of a devotee of mine I burnt the God of death, O goddess, in the fire emerging from my eyes.
english translation
bhaktahetorahaM devi kAlaM krodhapariplutaH adahaM vahninA netrabhavena nijarakSakaH ॥42॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभक्तहेतोरहं देवि रव्युपर्यभवं किल। अतिक्रोधान्वितः शूलं गृहीत्वाऽन्वजयं पुरा॥४३॥
For the sake of a devotee of mine I became very furious with the sun formerly. I over-powered him with my trident.
english translation
bhaktahetorahaM devi ravyuparyabhavaM kila। atikrodhAnvitaH zUlaM gRhItvA'nvajayaM purA॥43॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभक्तहेतोरहं देवि रावणं सगणं क्रुधा ॥ त्यजति स्म कृतो नैव पक्षपातो हि तस्य वै॥४४॥
I was not a party to the evil actions of Rāvaṇa (though he was my devotee). For the sake of another devotee I discarded Rāvaṇa with all his followers.

bhaktahetorahaM devi rAvaNaM sagaNaM krudhA ॥ tyajati sma kRto naiva pakSapAto hi tasya vai॥44॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभक्तहेतोरहं देवि व्यासं हि कुमतिग्रहम् ॥ काश्या न्यसारयत् क्रोधाद्दण्डयित्वा च नंदिना ॥४५॥
O goddess, for the sake of a devotee, I angrily expelled Vyāsa when he had a vicious thought, from Kāśī after punishing him duly through Nandin.
