भक्तहेतोरहं देवि रावणं सगणं क्रुधा ॥ त्यजति स्म कृतो नैव पक्षपातो हि तस्य वै॥४४॥

sanskrit

I was not a party to the evil actions of Rāvaṇa (though he was my devotee). For the sake of another devotee I discarded Rāvaṇa with all his followers.

english translation

bhaktahetorahaM devi rAvaNaM sagaNaM krudhA ॥ tyajati sma kRto naiva pakSapAto hi tasya vai॥44॥
