ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ इत्युदीर्य्य महादेवमहं सर्वेश्वरं प्रभुम् ॥ अगमं दक्षनिलयं स्यंदनेनातिवेगिना ॥४१॥
After saying this to the great lord Brahmā said: I went to Dakṣa’s residence by a speedy flight.
english translation
॥ नारद उवाच ॥ विधे प्राज्ञ महाभाग वद नो वदतां वर ॥ सत्यै गृहागतायै स दक्षः किमकरोत्ततः ॥ ४२ ॥
Nārada said: O Brahmā, of great fortune and intellect, O eloquent one, please tell me. When Satī returned to the house what did Dakṣa do thereafter?
english translation
ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ तपस्तप्त्वा वरं प्राप्य मनोभिलषितं सती ॥ गृहं गत्वा पितुर्मातुः प्रणाममकरोत्तदा ॥४३॥
Brahmā said: Having concluded the austerities, and secured what she desired as a boon, Satī went home and made obeisance to her father and mother.
english translation
मात्रे पित्रेऽथ तत्सर्वं समाचख्यौ महेश्वरात् ॥ वरप्राप्तिः स्वसख्या वै सत्यास्तुष्टस्तु भक्तितः ॥ ४४ ॥
Her girl friends informed her mother and father about the acquisition of boon by their friend Satī from lord Śiva who was glad at her devotion.
english translation
माता पिता च वृत्तांतं सर्वं श्रुत्वा सखीमुखात् ॥ आनन्दं परमं लेभे चक्रे च परमोत्सवम् ॥४५॥
The parents who obtained the news through her friends were very glad and celebrated a great festival.
