अथ सा तमुवाचेदं हरं दाक्षायणी मुहुः ॥ सुप्रसन्ना करौ बद्ध्वा नतका भक्तवत्सलम् ॥ २१ ॥
The delighted daughter of Dakṣa with her palms joined frequently in reverence, joyfully spoke to Śiva who is favourably disposed to His devotees.
english translation
atha sA tamuvAcedaM haraM dAkSAyaNI muhuH ॥ suprasannA karau baddhvA natakA bhaktavatsalam ॥ 21 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसत्युवाच ॥ देवदेव महादेव विवाह विधिना प्रभौ ॥ पितुर्मे गोचरीकृत्य मां गृहाण जगत्पते ॥ २२ ॥
Satī said: O great lord of Devas, lord of the universe, please take me with due marital rites in the presence of my father.
english translation
satyuvAca ॥ devadeva mahAdeva vivAha vidhinA prabhau ॥ piturme gocarIkRtya mAM gRhANa jagatpate ॥ 22 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript॥ ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ एवं सतीवचः श्रुत्वा महेशो भक्तवत्सलः ॥ तथास्त्विति वचः प्राह निरीक्ष्य प्रेमतश्च ताम् ॥ २३ ॥
Brahmā said: On hearing these words of Satī, Śiva, favourably disposed to His devotees, glanced lovingly at her and said—“So be it.”
english translation
॥ brahmovAca ॥ evaM satIvacaH zrutvA mahezo bhaktavatsalaH ॥ tathAstviti vacaH prAha nirIkSya prematazca tAm ॥ 23 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदाक्षायण्यपि तं नत्वा शंभुं विज्ञाप्य भक्तितः ॥ प्राप्ताज्ञा मातुरभ्याशमगान्मोहमुदान्विता ॥ २४ ॥
The daughter of Dakṣa bowed to Śiva with devotion, sought and received His consent and returned to her mother with a fascinating gaiety.
english translation
dAkSAyaNyapi taM natvA zaMbhuM vijJApya bhaktitaH ॥ prAptAjJA mAturabhyAzamagAnmohamudAnvitA ॥ 24 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptहरोपि हिमवत्प्रस्थं प्रविश्य च निजाश्रमम् ॥ दाक्षायणीवियोगाद्वै कृच्छ्रध्यानपरोऽभवत् ॥२५॥
Śiva returned to His hermitage on the ridges of the Himālayas and began meditations though with difficulty, as He still felt the pangs of love in separation from Satī, the daughter of Dakṣa.
english translation
haropi himavatprasthaM pravizya ca nijAzramam ॥ dAkSAyaNIviyogAdvai kRcchradhyAnaparo'bhavat ॥25॥
