उपादिदेश त्वां शम्भुस्सृष्टिकार्यं तदा प्रभुः ।। तत्पालनं च मां ब्रह्मन् सोमस्सूतिकरोऽव्ययः ।। ५१ ।।

sanskrit

The lord Śiva assigned to you the work of creation. O Brahman, the imperishable Śiva, the cause of creation, entrusted me with the task of sustaining it.

english translation

upAdideza tvAM zambhussRSTikAryaM tadA prabhuH || tatpAlanaM ca mAM brahman somassUtikaro'vyayaH || 51 ||

तदा वां वेश्म संप्राप्तौ सांजली नतमस्तकौ ।। भव त्वमपि सर्वेशोऽवतारी गुणरूपधृक् ।।५२।।

Then we requested Him “O Śiva, the lord of all, be pleased to take an incarnation with all your attributes.”

english translation

tadA vAM vezma saMprAptau sAMjalI natamastakau || bhava tvamapi sarvezo'vatArI guNarUpadhRk ||52||

इत्युक्तः प्राह स स्वामी विहस्य करुणान्वितः ।। दिवमुद्वीक्ष्य सुप्रीत्या नानालीलाविशारदः ।। ।।५३।।

Thus requested He laughed and spoke sympathetically, with his eyes raised to Heaven. Verily He is an adept in divine sports.

english translation

ityuktaH prAha sa svAmI vihasya karuNAnvitaH || divamudvIkSya suprItyA nAnAlIlAvizAradaH || ||53||

मद्रूपं परमं विष्णो ईदृशं ह्यंगतो विधेः ।। प्रकटीभविता लोके नाम्ना रुद्रः प्रकीर्तितः ।। ५४ ।।

sanskrit

O Viṣṇu, a form of mine like this shall be manifested through my limbs and shall be glorified as Rudra in the world.

english translation

madrUpaM paramaM viSNo IdRzaM hyaMgato vidheH || prakaTIbhavitA loke nAmnA rudraH prakIrtitaH || 54 ||

पूर्णरूपस्स मे पूज्यस्सदा वां सर्वकामकृत् ।। लयकर्त्ता गुणाध्यक्षो निर्विशेषः सुयोगकृत् ।। ५५ ।।

He is my full form and perfect manifestation. He is worthy of being worshipped by both of you. He shall fulfil your desires entirely. He is the cause of dissolution, the presiding deity of attributes, the practitioner of perfect Yoga without anyone to exceed.

english translation

pUrNarUpassa me pUjyassadA vAM sarvakAmakRt || layakarttA guNAdhyakSo nirvizeSaH suyogakRt || 55 ||
