बभ्राम सा सभां सर्वां मालामादाय सुव्रता ॥ वरमन्वेषती तत्र स्वात्माभीष्टं नृपात्मजा ॥ ४६ ॥
The princess in search of a suitable bridegroom went round the hall with the garland in her hands.
english translation
babhrAma sA sabhAM sarvAM mAlAmAdAya suvratA ॥ varamanveSatI tatra svAtmAbhISTaM nRpAtmajA ॥ 46 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवानरास्यं विष्णुतनुं मुनिं दृष्ट्वा चुकोप सा ॥ दृष्टिं निवार्य च ततः प्रस्थिता प्रीतमानसा ॥ ४७ ॥
On seeing the sage with the face of a monkey and the body of Viṣṇu she was infuriated. Averting her eyes she went elsewhere being distressed in her mind.
english translation
vAnarAsyaM viSNutanuM muniM dRSTvA cukopa sA ॥ dRSTiM nivArya ca tataH prasthitA prItamAnasA ॥ 47 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन दृष्ट्वा स्ववरं तत्र त्रस्तासीन्मनसेप्सितम् ॥ अंतस्सभास्थिता कस्मिन्नर्पयामास न स्रजम् ॥ ४८ ॥
Failing to find a bridegroom of her choice she was afraid. She remained in the middle of the hall and did not put the garland round the neck of any one.
english translation
na dRSTvA svavaraM tatra trastAsInmanasepsitam ॥ aMtassabhAsthitA kasminnarpayAmAsa na srajam ॥ 48 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएतस्मिन्नंतरे विष्णुराजगाम नृपाकृतिः ॥ न दृष्टः कैश्चिदपरैः केवलं सा ददर्श हि ॥ ४९ ॥
Meanwhile Viṣṇu came there in the guise of a king. He was not seen by anyone. Only the princess saw him.

etasminnaMtare viSNurAjagAma nRpAkRtiH ॥ na dRSTaH kaizcidaparaiH kevalaM sA dadarza hi ॥ 49 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथ सा तं समालोक्य प्रसन्नवदनाम्बुजा ॥ अर्पयामास तत्कण्ठे तां मालां वरवर्णिनी ॥ 2-1-3-५० ॥
Then on seeing Viṣṇu, her lotus-like face beamed. The comely lady put the garland round his neck.

atha sA taM samAlokya prasannavadanAmbujA ॥ arpayAmAsa tatkaNThe tAM mAlAM varavarNinI ॥ 2-1-3-50 ॥
