ईश्वर उवाच॥ इदं पुण्यं शरीरं ते क्षेत्रेऽस्मिन्मुक्तिसाधने॥ मम लिंगं भवत्वत्र सर्वेषां मुक्तिदायकम् ॥६६॥
Lord Śiva said: In this holy place, a means to the achievement of liberation, let your meritorious body become phallic image yielding liberation to all.
english translation
Izvara uvAca॥ idaM puNyaM zarIraM te kSetre'sminmuktisAdhane॥ mama liMgaM bhavatvatra sarveSAM muktidAyakam ॥66॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकृत्तिवासेश्वरं नाम महापातकनाशनम्॥ सर्वेषामेव लिंगानां शिरोभूतं विमुक्तिदम्॥६७॥
It will be the foremost of all phallic images yielding salvation, destroying great sins and named “Kṛttivāseśvara”.
english translation
kRttivAsezvaraM nAma mahApAtakanAzanam॥ sarveSAmeva liMgAnAM zirobhUtaM vimuktidam॥67॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकथयित्वेति देवेशस्तत्कृतिं परिगृह्य च॥ गजासुरस्य महतीं प्रावृणोद्धि दिगंबरः॥६८॥
Sanatkumāra said: After saying this Śiva, the lord of the gods, accepted the hide of Gajāsura and wore it.
english translation
kathayitveti devezastatkRtiM parigRhya ca॥ gajAsurasya mahatIM prAvRNoddhi digaMbaraH॥68॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमहामहोत्सवो जातस्तस्मिन्नह्नि मुनीश्वर॥ हर्षमापुर्जनास्सर्वे काशीस्थाः प्रमथास्तथा॥६९॥
O great sage, there was a great jubilation on that day. All the people staying at Kāśī and the Pramathas were delighted.

mahAmahotsavo jAtastasminnahni munIzvara॥ harSamApurjanAssarve kAzIsthAH pramathAstathA॥69॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptहरि ब्रह्मादयो देवा हर्षनिर्भरमानसाः॥ तुष्टुवुस्तं महेशानं नत्वा सांजलयस्ततः॥2-5-57-७०॥
Viṣṇu, Brahmā and other gods were delighted in their minds. With palms joined in reverence they bowed to lord Śiva and eulogised him.

hari brahmAdayo devA harSanirbharamAnasAH॥ tuSTuvustaM mahezAnaM natvA sAMjalayastataH॥2-5-57-70॥
