सनत्कुमार उवाच ।। इत्युक्तो हरिणा सूतो दारुकस्स्वगुणाग्रणीः ।। द्रुतं तं वाहयामास रथं रुद्रसमीपतः ।। ४१ ।।

sanskrit

Sanatkumāra said: Thus commanded by Viṣṇu, the charioteer Dāruka, the foremost of persons of good qualities, drove the chariot immediately to lord Śiva.

english translation

sanatkumAra uvAca || ityukto hariNA sUto dArukassvaguNAgraNIH || drutaM taM vAhayAmAsa rathaM rudrasamIpataH || 41 ||

अथ विज्ञापयामास नतो भूत्वा कृतांजलिः ।। श्रीकृष्णः शंकरं भक्त्या प्रपन्नो भक्तवत्सलम् ।। ४२ ।।

sanskrit

Lord Kṛṣṇa resorted to Śiva, favourably disposed to his devotees, bowed to him with devotion with palms joined in reverence and submitted as follows.

atha vijJApayAmAsa nato bhUtvA kRtAMjaliH || zrIkRSNaH zaMkaraM bhaktyA prapanno bhaktavatsalam || 42 ||

श्रीकृष्ण उवाच ।। देवदेव महादेव शरणागतवत्सल ।। नमामि त्वाऽनंतशक्तिं सर्वात्मानं परेश्वरम् ।। ४३ ।।

sanskrit

Lord Kṛṣṇa said: O lord Śiva, lord of the gods, favourably disposed to those who seek refuge in you, I bow to you the great lord, the soul of all and of infinite power.

english translation

zrIkRSNa uvAca || devadeva mahAdeva zaraNAgatavatsala || namAmi tvA'naMtazaktiM sarvAtmAnaM parezvaram || 43 ||

विश्वोत्पत्तिस्थाननाशहेतुं सज्ज्ञप्ति मात्रकम् ।। ब्रह्मलिंगं परं शांतं केवलं परमेश्वरम् ।। ४४ ।।

sanskrit

I bow to you, the cause of the origin, sustenance and dissolution of the universe, the sole form of perfect knowledge, the symbol of Brahman, the highly quiescent, the supreme lord.

english translation

vizvotpattisthAnanAzahetuM sajjJapti mAtrakam || brahmaliMgaM paraM zAMtaM kevalaM paramezvaram || 44 ||

The time, the divinity, the activity, the individual soul, the nature, the solid objects, the vital airs, the soul, the groups of created beings.

kAlo daivaM karma jIvassvabhAvo dravyameva ca || kSetraM ca prANa AtmA ca vikArastatsamUhakaH || 45 ||
