मृतसंजीवनी नाम विद्या या मम निर्मला ।। तपोबलेन महता मयैव परिनिर्मिता ।।४ १ ।।

sanskrit

O pure one, O pure sage, I am giving unto you the lore in the form of Mantra, which is called Mṛtasañjīvanī.

english translation

mRtasaMjIvanI nAma vidyA yA mama nirmalA || tapobalena mahatA mayaiva parinirmitA ||4 1 ||

त्वां तां तु प्रापयाम्यद्य मंत्ररूपां महाशुचे।। योग्यता तेऽस्ति विद्यायास्तस्याश्शुचि तपोनिधे ।। ४२ ।।

sanskrit

It is pure and it has been formulated by me alone through the power of the penance. You have the capacity to receive that lore.

english translation

tvAM tAM tu prApayAmyadya maMtrarUpAM mahAzuce|| yogyatA te'sti vidyAyAstasyAzzuci taponidhe || 42 ||

यंयमुद्दिश्य नियतमेतामावर्तयिष्यसि ।। विद्यां विद्येश्वरश्रेष्ठं सत्यं प्राणि ष्यति धुवम् ।। ४३ ।।

sanskrit

Whoever he may be if you were to repeat this mantra in respect of anyone he will truly return to life. This lore is the most excellent one.

english translation

yaMyamuddizya niyatametAmAvartayiSyasi || vidyAM vidyezvarazreSThaM satyaM prANi Syati dhuvam || 43 ||

अत्यर्कमत्यग्निं च ते तेजो व्योम्नि च तारकम् ।। देदीप्यमानं भविता ग्रहाणां प्रवरो भव ।। ४४ ।।

sanskrit

Your brilliant stellar lustre will excel the sun and fire. You will become the foremost of the planets.

english translation

atyarkamatyagniM ca te tejo vyomni ca tArakam || dedIpyamAnaM bhavitA grahANAM pravaro bhava || 44 ||

अपि च त्वां करिष्यंति यात्रां नार्यो नरोऽपि वा ।। तेषां त्वद्दृष्टिपातेन सर्वकार्यं प्रणश्यति ।। ४५।।

If any man or woman were to proceed on a journey in your direction, their work will perish by your glance.

english translation

api ca tvAM kariSyaMti yAtrAM nAryo naro'pi vA || teSAM tvaddRSTipAtena sarvakAryaM praNazyati || 45||
