Glancing at the in-coming or out-going Pramathas, far off or at close quarters, Andhaka hit them severally with as many arrows as the hair on their bodies.

दृष्ट्वा सैन्यं भज्यमानमंधकेन बलीयसा ॥ स्कंदो विनायको नंदी सोमनंद्यादयः परे ॥३२॥
Seeing the army being shattered by the mighty Andhaka, Skanda, Vinayaka, Nandi, Somānandī, and others advanced (to intervene).

प्रमथा प्रबला वीराश्शंकरस्य गणा निजाः ॥ चुक्रुधुस्समरं चक्रुर्विचित्रं च महाबलाः ॥ ३३ ॥
The Pramathas — Shiva’s own strong and heroic attendants — became enraged and, endowed with immense strength, launched into a fierce and varied battle.
