दृष्ट्वा च तत्सैन्यमनंतपारं विवर्णवर्णाश्च सुविस्मिताश्च ॥ समाकुलास्संचकिताभयाद्वै देव्यो बभूबुर्हृददीनसत्त्वाः॥३६॥
On seeing this limitless vast army, the Daityas were bewildered, pale in the face, excited and dismayed frightened and dejected in the heart.

dRSTvA ca tatsainyamanaMtapAraM vivarNavarNAzca suvismitAzca ॥ samAkulAssaMcakitAbhayAdvai devyo babhUburhRdadInasattvAH॥36॥

All these celestial damsels, the chief of whom was Brahmāśakti and the general Vīraka of terrible valour pacified the mind of Pārvatī, the daughter of the lord of mountains and assured her.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptचक्रुर्महायुद्धमभूतपूर्वं निधाय बुद्धौ दितिजाः प्रधानाः॥ निवर्तनं मृत्युमथात्मनश्च नारीभिरन्ये वरदानसत्त्वाः ॥३८॥
The important ones among the Daityas and others who possessed strength derived from the boons granted to them, thought, in their minds, of their death or retreat and fought an unprecedented great battle with the ladies.

cakrurmahAyuddhamabhUtapUrvaM nidhAya buddhau ditijAH pradhAnAH॥ nivartanaM mRtyumathAtmanazca nArIbhiranye varadAnasattvAH ॥38॥

Making Vīraka of terrible valour and wonderful intellect, her general, Pārvatī fought a wonderful battle in the company of her friends and allies.

atyadbhutaM tatra cakAra yuddhaM gaurI tadAnIM sahitA sakhIbhiH ॥ kRtvA raNe cAdbhutabuddhizauNDaM senApatiM vIrakaghoravIryam॥39॥

Thinking upon Viṣṇu and looking towards the southern direction the Daitya king, the heroic son of Hiraṇyākṣa, quickly made a fierce array of soldiers with Gila at the head.
