चक्रुर्महायुद्धमभूतपूर्वं निधाय बुद्धौ दितिजाः प्रधानाः।। निवर्तनं मृत्युमथात्मनश्च नारीभिरन्ये वरदानसत्त्वाः ।।३८।।

sanskrit

The important ones among the Daityas and others who possessed strength derived from the boons granted to them, thought, in their minds, of their death or retreat and fought an unprecedented great battle with the ladies.

english translation

cakrurmahAyuddhamabhUtapUrvaM nidhAya buddhau ditijAH pradhAnAH|| nivartanaM mRtyumathAtmanazca nArIbhiranye varadAnasattvAH ||38||
