शङ्खचूडाभिधो देवद्रोही धर्मविचक्षणः ॥ क्लिश्नाति सुबलात्कृत्स्नं सदा देवगणं कुधीः ॥१६॥
The virtuous demon Śaṅkhacūḍa distresses and harasses the gods always with his might. He is evil-minded to this extent.
english translation
zaGkhacUDAbhidho devadrohI dharmavicakSaNaH ॥ kliznAti subalAtkRtsnaM sadA devagaNaM kudhIH ॥16॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमन्मायामोहितस्सोतिदुष्टमंत्रिसहा यवान् ॥ तद्भयं त्यजताश्वेव मयि शास्तरि वै सति ॥ १७ ॥
He has been deluded by my deception and hence he seeks the help of evil ministers. But myself being the chastiser of the wicked you can get rid of his fear quickly.
english translation
manmAyAmohitassotiduSTamaMtrisahA yavAn ॥ tadbhayaM tyajatAzveva mayi zAstari vai sati ॥ 17 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसनत्कुमार उवाच ॥ इत्यूचिवाञ्शिवो यावद्धरिब्रह्मपुरः कथाम् ॥ अभवत्तावदन्यच्च चरितं तन्मुने शृणु॥१८॥
Sanatkumāra said: O sage, by the time Śiva completed this expatiation in front of Viṣṇu and Brahmā, another event happened there. Listen to it.
english translation
sanatkumAra uvAca ॥ ityUcivAJzivo yAvaddharibrahmapuraH kathAm ॥ abhavattAvadanyacca caritaM tanmune zRNu॥18॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्मिन्नेवांतरे कृष्णो राधया पार्षदैः सह॥ सद्गोपैराययौ शंभुमनुकूलयितुं प्रभुम्॥१९॥
In the meantime Kṛṣṇa came there along with Rādhā and his attendant cowherds in order to propitiate Lord Śiva.

tasminnevAMtare kRSNo rAdhayA pArSadaiH saha॥ sadgopairAyayau zaMbhumanukUlayituM prabhum॥19॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रभुं प्रणम्य सद्भक्त्या मिलित्वा हरिमादरात् ॥ संमतो विधिना प्रीत्या संतस्थौ शिवशासनात्॥2-5-31-२०॥
Devoutly bowing to the lord, meeting Viṣṇu with respect and honoured by Brahmā with love he stood there awaiting Śiva’s behest.

prabhuM praNamya sadbhaktyA militvA harimAdarAt ॥ saMmato vidhinA prItyA saMtasthau zivazAsanAt॥2-5-31-20॥
