शंखचक्रगदापद्मधरं देवं चतुर्भुजम् ।। सनंदनाद्यैः सिद्धैश्च सेवितं पीतवाससम् ।। ३६ ।।

On seeing Viṣṇu bearing Śaṅkha, Cakra, mace and the lotus, the lord with four arms, yellow garments, accompanied by Nandana, Siddhas, Brahmā and other gods bowed to the lord along with the great sages.

english translation

zaMkhacakragadApadmadharaM devaM caturbhujam || sanaMdanAdyaiH siddhaizca sevitaM pItavAsasam || 36 ||

दृष्ट्वा विष्णुं सुरास्सर्वे ब्रह्माद्यास्समुनीश्वराः ।। प्रणम्य तुष्टुवुर्भक्त्या बद्धाञ्जलिकरा विभुम् ।।३७।।

Seeing Lord Vishnu, all the gods, along with Brahma and the great sages, bowed down and praised the Supreme Lord with devotion, their hands joined in reverence.

dRSTvA viSNuM surAssarve brahmAdyAssamunIzvarAH || praNamya tuSTuvurbhaktyA baddhAJjalikarA vibhum ||37||

देवा ऊचु ।। देवदेव जगन्नाथ वैकुंठाधिपते प्रभो ।। रक्षास्माञ्शरणापन्नाञ्छ्रीहरे त्रिजगद्गुरो ।। ३८ ।।

The gods said: O lord of the universe, lord of the gods, O lord of Vaikuṇṭha, save us who have sought refuge in you, O illustrious Viṣṇu, O elderly one in the three worlds.

english translation

devA Ucu || devadeva jagannAtha vaikuMThAdhipate prabho || rakSAsmAJzaraNApannAJchrIhare trijagadguro || 38 ||

त्वमेव जगतां पाता त्रिलोकेशाच्युत प्रभो ।। लक्ष्मीनिवास गोविन्द भक्तप्राण नमोऽस्तु ते ।। ३९ ।।

O lord Viṣṇu, O lord of the three worlds, you alone are the protector of the worlds. O supporter of Lakṣmī, O Govinda, O the vital air of the devotees, Obeisance be to you.

english translation

tvameva jagatAM pAtA trilokezAcyuta prabho || lakSmInivAsa govinda bhaktaprANa namo'stu te || 39 ||

इति स्तुत्वा सुरास्सर्वे रुरुदुः पुरतो हरेः ।। तच्छ्रुत्वा भगवान्विष्णुर्ब्रह्माणमिदमब्रवीत् ।। 2.5.29.४० ।।

After eulogising thus, all the gods cried in front of Viṣṇu. On hearing it lord Viṣṇu spoke to Brahmā thus.

iti stutvA surAssarve ruruduH purato hareH || tacchrutvA bhagavAnviSNurbrahmANamidamabravIt || 2.5.29.40 ||
