तुलस्युवाच ॥ त्वयाहमधुना ॥ सत्त्वविचारेण पराजिता॥ स धन्यः पुरुषो लोके न स्त्रिया यः पराजितः ॥२६॥
Tulasī said: I have now been overpowered by you who have Sāttvika thoughts. That man is blessed in the world who is not overwhelmed by a woman.
english translation
tulasyuvAca ॥ tvayAhamadhunA ॥ sattvavicAreNa parAjitA॥ sa dhanyaH puruSo loke na striyA yaH parAjitaH ॥26॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसत्क्रियोप्यशुचिर्नित्यं स पुमान्यः स्त्रिया जितः ॥ निन्दंति पितरो देवा मानवास्सकलाश्च तम् ॥ २७ ॥
Even though he may be the observer of sacred rites, if he is overpowered by a woman he becomes impure and unclean, so he remains for ever. The manes, gods and human beings censure him.
english translation
satkriyopyazucirnityaM sa pumAnyaH striyA jitaH ॥ nindaMti pitaro devA mAnavAssakalAzca tam ॥ 27 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशुध्येद्विप्रो दशाहेन जातके मृतसूतके ॥ क्षत्रियो द्वादशाहेन वैश्यः पञ्चदशाहतः ॥ २८ ॥
A brahmin is purified from impurity arising from births or deaths in the family, after the tenth day.
english translation
zudhyedvipro dazAhena jAtake mRtasUtake ॥ kSatriyo dvAdazAhena vaizyaH paJcadazAhataH ॥ 28 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशूद्रो मासेन शुध्येत्तु हीति वेदानुशासनम् ॥ न शुचिः स्त्रीजितः क्वापि चितादाहं विना पुमान् ॥ २९ ॥
. A Kṣatriya in twelve days, a Vaiśya in fifteen days and a Śūdra in a month. This is what the Vedas enjoin. But a henpecked man can never be purified till death.
english translation
zUdro mAsena zudhyettu hIti vedAnuzAsanam ॥ na zuciH strIjitaH kvApi citAdAhaM vinA pumAn ॥ 29 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन गृह्णतीच्छया तस्मात्पितरः पिण्डतर्पणम् ॥ न गृह्णन्ति सुरास्तेन दत्तं पुष्पफलादिकम् ॥2-5-28-३०॥
The manes do not receive willingly the balls of rice or holy waters offered by him. Nor do the gods accept his offering of fruits and flowers.

na gRhNatIcchayA tasmAtpitaraH piNDatarpaNam ॥ na gRhNanti surAstena dattaM puSpaphalAdikam ॥2-5-28-30॥
