ततो जलंधरस्त्री सा निर्विण्णोद्विग्नमानसा ॥ वनाद्वनांतरं याता नैव वेदात्मना तदा ॥११॥
Then she, the dejected gloomy wife of Jalandhara, wandered from forest to forest. She was not conscious of even herself.
english translation
tato jalaMdharastrI sA nirviNNodvignamAnasA ॥ vanAdvanAMtaraM yAtA naiva vedAtmanA tadA ॥11॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभ्रमती सा ततो बाला ददर्शातीव भीषणौ ॥ राक्षसौ सिंहवदनौ दृष्ट्वा दशनभासुरौ ॥ १२ ॥
The wandering lady saw two demons of terrible leonine faces with shining curved fanglike teeth.
english translation
bhramatI sA tato bAlA dadarzAtIva bhISaNau ॥ rAkSasau siMhavadanau dRSTvA dazanabhAsurau ॥ 12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतौ दृष्ट्वा विह्वलातीव पलायनपरा तदा ॥ ददर्श तापसं शांतं सशिष्यं मौनमास्थितम् ॥ १३ ॥
Terrified much on seeing them, the lady fled from there and saw an ascetic of calm countenance observing silence and accompanied by his disciple.
english translation
tau dRSTvA vihvalAtIva palAyanaparA tadA ॥ dadarza tApasaM zAMtaM saziSyaM maunamAsthitam ॥ 13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततस्तत्कंठमासाद्य निजां बाहुलतां भयात् ॥ मुने मां रक्ष शरणमागतास्मीत्यभाषत ॥ १४ ॥
Putting her tender creeperlike hands round his neck due to fright she gasped out—“O sage, save me. I have sought refuge in you.”
english translation
tatastatkaMThamAsAdya nijAM bAhulatAM bhayAt ॥ mune mAM rakSa zaraNamAgatAsmItyabhASata ॥ 14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमुनिस्तां विह्वलां दृष्ट्वा राक्षसानुगतां तदा ॥ हुंकारेणैव तौ घोरौ चकार विमुखौ द्रुतम् ॥ १५ ॥
Seeing the agitated lady followed by the demons the sage drove them back with a loud bellowing sound of “Hum”.

munistAM vihvalAM dRSTvA rAkSasAnugatAM tadA ॥ huMkAreNaiva tau ghorau cakAra vimukhau drutam ॥ 15 ॥
