स्वस्थानं गच्छ निर्भीतो देवा गच्छंत्वपि ध्रुवम् ॥ निर्भया वीतसंदेहा हतं मत्वाऽसुराधिपम् ॥ ३६ ॥
Go back to your abode fearlessly. Let the gods too go back without fear and hesitation, considering the ruler of the Asuras already killed.
english translation
svasthAnaM gaccha nirbhIto devA gacchaMtvapi dhruvam ॥ nirbhayA vItasaMdehA hataM matvA'surAdhipam ॥ 36 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसनत्कुमार उवाच ॥ इति श्रुत्वा महेशस्य वचनं स रमापतिः ॥ सनिर्जरो जगामाशु स्वस्थानं गतसंशयः ॥३७॥
Sanatkumāra said: On hearing the words of lord Śiva, the lord of Lakṣmī immediately went to his abode without doubts along with the gods.
english translation
sanatkumAra uvAca ॥ iti zrutvA mahezasya vacanaM sa ramApatiH ॥ sanirjaro jagAmAzu svasthAnaM gatasaMzayaH ॥37॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएतस्मिन्नंतरे व्यास स दैत्येन्द्रोऽतिविक्रमः ॥ सन्नद्धैरसुरैस्सार्द्धं शैलप्रांतं ययौ बली ॥३८॥
In the meantime, O Vyāsa, that valorous king of the Daityas went along with the well-equipped Asuras to the outskirts of the mountain.

etasminnaMtare vyAsa sa daityendro'tivikramaH ॥ sannaddhairasuraissArddhaM zailaprAMtaM yayau balI ॥38॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकैलासमवरुध्याथ महत्या सेनया युतः ॥ संतस्थौ कालसंकाशः कुर्वन्सिंहरवं महान् ॥ ३९ ॥
Accompanied by a vast army he laid siege to Kailāsa. He stood there like the god of death roaring like a lion.

kailAsamavarudhyAtha mahatyA senayA yutaH ॥ saMtasthau kAlasaMkAzaH kurvansiMharavaM mahAn ॥ 39 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथ कोलाहलं श्रुत्वा दैत्यनादसमुद्भवम् ॥ चुक्रोधातिमहेशानो महालीलः खलांतकः ॥ 2-5-20-४०॥
On hearing the tumultuous roar of the Daityas, lord Śiva of great sports, the destroyer of the wicked, became very furious.

atha kolAhalaM zrutvA daityanAdasamudbhavam ॥ cukrodhAtimahezAno mahAlIlaH khalAMtakaH ॥ 2-5-20-40॥
