विष्णुरुवाच ॥ तवांशसंभवत्वाच्च भ्रातृत्वाच्च तथा श्रियः ॥ मया न निहतः संख्ये त्वमेनं जहि दानवम् ॥ २९॥
Viṣṇu said: He was not killed in war by me because he was born of a part of yours. Moreover he is Lakṣmī’s brother. Please kill him.
