अथ तं प्रेषयामास स्वदूतं शक्रसन्निधौ॥ संमान्य बहुशः प्रीत्याऽभयं दत्त्वा विशारदम् ॥२१॥
He then lovingly honoured the clever emissary in various ways, assured him of protection and sent him to Indra as his messenger.
english translation
atha taM preSayAmAsa svadUtaM zakrasannidhau॥ saMmAnya bahuzaH prItyA'bhayaM dattvA vizAradam ॥21॥

Ghasmara, the intelligent emissary of Jalandhara, hastened to heaven where all the gods were present.
english translation
dUtastriviSTapaM tasya jagAmAramalaM sudhIH ॥ ghasmaroM'budhibAlasya sarvadevasamanvitam ॥22॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत्र गत्वा स दूतस्तु सुधर्मां प्राप्य सत्वरम् ॥ गर्वादखर्वमौलिर्हि देवेन्द्रं वाक्यमब्रवीत् ॥ २३ ॥
After going there, the emissary entered the assembly of the gods.With his head kept straight as a token of haughtiness he spoke to lord Indra.

tatra gatvA sa dUtastu sudharmAM prApya satvaram ॥ garvAdakharvamaulirhi devendraM vAkyamabravIt ॥ 23 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptघस्मर उवाच ॥ जलंधरोऽब्धि तनयस्सर्वदैत्यजनेश्वरः ॥ सुप्रतापी महावीरस्स्वयं कविसहायवान् ॥ २४ ॥
Ghasmara said: Jalandhara, the son of the ocean, is the lord and emperor of all the Asuras. He is excessively heroic and valorous. He has the support and assistance of Bhargava.

ghasmara uvAca ॥ jalaMdharo'bdhi tanayassarvadaityajanezvaraH ॥ supratApI mahAvIrassvayaM kavisahAyavAn ॥ 24 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदूतोऽहं तस्य वीरस्य घस्मराख्यो न घस्मरः ॥ प्रेषितस्तेन वीरेण त्वत्सकाशमिहागतः ॥२५॥
I am his emissary. I have been sent by him. I have come to you here. My name is Ghasmara but I am not a devourer.
