॥ सनत्कुमार उवाच ॥ एकदा वारिधिसुतो वृन्दापति रुदारधीः॥ सभार्य्यस्संस्थितो वीरोऽसुरैस्सर्वैः समन्वितः ॥१॥
Sanatkumāra said: Once the son of the ocean, the noble-hearted husband of Vṛndā, was seated along with his wife and the Asuras.When the Asura entered the city, Indra and other gods entered the cavern of the golden mountain Meru and remained there. They had been extremely harrassed by the Asuras.
english translation
॥ sanatkumAra uvAca ॥ ekadA vAridhisuto vRndApati rudAradhIH॥ sabhAryyassaMsthito vIro'suraissarvaiH samanvitaH ॥1॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत्राजगाम सुप्रीतस्सुवर्चास्त्वथ भार्गवः॥ तेजः पुंजो मूर्त इव भासयन्सकला दिशः ॥२॥
The brilliant Bhārgava came there joyously illuminating the ten quarters as the embodied brilliance.
english translation
tatrAjagAma suprItassuvarcAstvatha bhArgavaH॥ tejaH puMjo mUrta iva bhAsayansakalA dizaH ॥2॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतं दृष्ट्वा गुरुमायान्तमसुरास्तेऽखिला द्रुतम् ॥ प्रणेमुः प्रीतमनसस्सिंधुपुत्रोऽपि सादरम्॥३॥
On seeing the preceptor coming, the Asuras were delighted in their minds and bowed to him. The son of the ocean too respectfully bowed to him.
english translation
taM dRSTvA gurumAyAntamasurAste'khilA drutam ॥ praNemuH prItamanasassiMdhuputro'pi sAdaram॥3॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदत्त्वाशीर्वचनं तेभ्यो भार्गवस्तेजसां निधिः ॥ निषसादासने रम्ये संतस्थुस्तेऽपि पूर्ववत् ॥ ४ ॥
After bestowing his benediction on them, Bhārgava, the storehouse of splendour, sat on a beautiful seat. They too resumed their seats as before.

dattvAzIrvacanaM tebhyo bhArgavastejasAM nidhiH ॥ niSasAdAsane ramye saMtasthuste'pi pUrvavat ॥ 4 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथ सिंध्वात्मजो वीरो दृष्ट्वा प्रीत्या निजां सभाम् ॥ जलंधरः प्रसन्नोऽभूदनष्टवरशासनः ॥ ५ ॥
Then the heroic son of the ocean, Jalandhara, saw his Assembly and was delighted to observe that his sway was unmitigated.
