त्रिमूर्तीनां महेशस्य प्रादुरासीद्घृणानिधिः ॥ आर्द्धनारीश्वरो भूत्वा पूर्णाशस्सकलेश्वरः ॥ ५६ ॥
From Mahesha (the Great Lord) of the Trimūrti, there manifested a treasure-house of compassion. Taking the form of Ardhanārīśvara, he became the complete embodiment of will, the Lord of All (Sakaleśvara).
english translation
तमजं शंकरं साक्षात्तेजोराशिमुमापतिम् ॥ सर्वज्ञं सर्वकर्तारं नीललोहितसंज्ञकम् ॥ ५७ ॥
That unborn (eternal) one — Śaṅkara (Shiva) — the direct embodiment of radiance, the consort of Umā, All-knowing, the doer of all, known by the name Nīlalohita.
english translation
दृष्ट्वा नत्वा महाभक्त्या स्तुत्वाहं तु प्रहर्षितः ॥ अवोचं देवदेवेशं सृज त्वं विविधाः प्रजाः॥५८॥
Seeing Him, bowing with great devotion, and joyfully offering praises, I said to the Lord of lords, 'Please create the various beings (creatures).'
english translation
श्रुत्वा मम वचस्सोथ देवदेवो महेश्वरः ॥ ससर्ज स्वात्मनस्तुल्यान्रुद्रो रुद्रगणान्बहून ॥ ५९ ॥
On hearing my words, the lord of lords, Rudra, created many Gaṇas identical with Himself.
english translation
अवोचं पुनरेवेशं महारुद्रं महेश्वरम् ॥ जन्ममृत्युभयाविष्टास्सृज देव प्रजा इति ॥ 2-1-15-६० ॥
I again told the great lord Rudra—“O lord, please create those subjects, tormented by the fear of birth and death”.
