तस्मिन्नारोऽहतिरथं कल्पितं लोकसंभृतम् ॥ शिरोभिः पतिता भूमौ तुरगा वेदसंभवाः ॥६॥
Glancing at the charioteer when he mounted the chariot concocted with everything in the world, the horses constituted by the Vedas fell headlong to the ground.
english translation
चचाल वसुधा चेलुस्सकलाश्च महीधराः ॥ चकंपे सहसा शेषोऽसोढा तद्भारमातुरः ।७॥
The earth quaked. The mountains became tremulous. Śeṣa, unable to bear his weight, became distressed and soon began to tremble.

अथाधः स रथस्यास्य भगवान्धरणीधरः ॥ वृषेन्द्ररूपी चोत्थाय स्थापयामास वै क्षणम् ॥ ८ ॥
Lord Viṣṇu assumed the form of a lordly bull and went under the chariot. He lifted it up and steadied it for a short while.

क्षणांतरे वृषेन्द्रोऽपि जानुभ्यामगमद्धराम् ॥ रथारूढमहेशस्य सुतेजस्सोढुमक्षमः ॥ ९ ॥
But in another instant, unable to bear the weighty splendour of lord Śiva seated in the chariot, the lordly bull had to kneel down and crawl on the ground.

अभीषुहस्तो भगवानुद्यम्य च हयांस्तदा ॥ स्थापयामास देवस्य पचनाद्वैरथं वरम्॥2-5-9-१०॥
The Lord, holding the reins in His skilled hands, then controlled the horses and positioned the divine, excellent chariot of Arjuna (the godly one) in front of the army.
