नारद उवाच ॥ जीविते गिरिजापुत्रे देव्या दृष्टे प्रजेश्वर ॥ ततः किमभवत्तत्र कृपया तद्वदाधुना ॥ १ ॥
Nārada said: O lord of subjects, when the son of Pārvatī was resuscitated and seen by.the goddess, what happened then? Please narrate to me now.
english translation
ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ जीविते गिरिजापुत्रे देव्या दृष्टे मुनीश्वर ॥ यज्जातं तच्छृणुष्वाद्य वच्मि ते महदुत्सवम् ॥२॥
Brahmā said: O great sage, when the son of Pārvatī was resuscitated and seen by the goddess, listen to what happened there. I shall narrate the jubilation that ensued.
english translation
जीवितस्स शिवापुत्रो निर्व्यग्रो विकृतो मुने॥ अभिषिक्तस्तदा देवैर्गणाध्यक्षैर्गजाननः ॥३॥
O sage, that son of Pārvatī was resuscitated. He was free from distress and perturbation. Then he was crowned by the gods and the leaders of Gaṇas.
english translation
दृष्ट्वा स्वतनयं देवी शिवा हर्षसमन्विता ॥ गृहीत्वा बालकं दोर्भ्यां प्रमुदा परिषस्वजे॥ ४ ॥
On seeing her son, Pārvatī was highly delighted. Taking him up with both her hands she embraced him joyously.

वस्त्राणि विविधानीह नानालंकरणानि च ॥ ददौ प्रीत्या गणेशाय स्वपुत्राय मुदांबिका ॥ ५ ॥
She then lovingly gave him different clothes and ornaments.
