हत्वा ते तारकं दैत्यं परिवारयुतं विभो ॥ मोचितास्सकला देवा विपद्भ्यः परमेश्वर॥६॥
After killing the Asura Tāraka along with his followers, O great lord, the gods have been freed from adversities by you.
english translation
hatvA te tArakaM daityaM parivArayutaM vibho ॥ mocitAssakalA devA vipadbhyaH paramezvara॥6॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptब्रह्मोवाच॥ एवं स्तुतः कुमारोऽसौ देवैर्विष्णुमुखैः प्रभुः ॥ वरान्ददावभिनवान्सर्वेभ्यः क्रमशो मुने ॥७॥
Brahmā said: O sage, thus eulogised by Viṣṇu and the other gods, lord Kumāra granted them fresh boons in order.
english translation
brahmovAca॥ evaM stutaH kumAro'sau devairviSNumukhaiH prabhuH ॥ varAndadAvabhinavAnsarvebhyaH kramazo mune ॥7॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशैलान्निरीक्ष्य स्तुवतस्ततस्स गिरिशात्मजः ॥ सुप्रसन्नतरो भूत्वा प्रोवाच प्रददद्वरान् ॥८॥
On seeing the mountains eulogising, the son of Śiva became very glad and spoke to them after granting boons.
english translation
zailAnnirIkSya stuvatastatassa girizAtmajaH ॥ suprasannataro bhUtvA provAca pradadadvarAn ॥8॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस्कन्द उवाच ॥ यूयं सर्वे पर्वता हि पूजनीयास्तपस्विभिः ॥ कर्मिभिर्ज्ञानिभिश्चैव सेव्यमाना भविष्यथ ॥९॥
Skanda said: All of you mountains will become worthy of being worshipped by the sages and resorted to by persons following the paths of action and knowledge.

skanda uvAca ॥ yUyaM sarve parvatA hi pUjanIyAstapasvibhiH ॥ karmibhirjJAnibhizcaiva sevyamAnA bhaviSyatha ॥9॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशंभोर्विशिष्टरूपाणि लिंगरूपाणि चैव हि ॥ भविष्यथ न संदेहः पर्वता वचनान्मम ॥ 2-4-12-१० ॥
O mountains, at my word you will be assuming the forms of phallic emblems, the special forms of Śiva. There is no doubt about it.

zaMbhorviziSTarUpANi liMgarUpANi caiva hi ॥ bhaviSyatha na saMdehaH parvatA vacanAnmama ॥ 2-4-12-10 ॥
