केचिन्मथितसर्वांगा गदाभिर्मुद्गरैस्तथा ॥ केचिन्निर्भिन्नहृदयाः पाशैर्भल्लैश्च पातिताः ॥२६॥
The entire body of some was smashed by the maces; the chests and hearts of some were pounded by iron clubs; some were felled to the ground by spears and dragged with nooses.

केचिद्विदारिताः पृष्ठे कुंतैर्ऋष्टिभिरंकुशैः ॥ छिन्नान्यपि शिरांस्येव पतितानि च भूतले ॥ २७ ॥
The backs of some were torn with javelins and goads. Several heads chopped off by double-edged swords fell on the ground.

बहूनि च कबंधानि नृत्यमानानि तत्र वै ॥ वल्गमानानि शतशो उद्यतास्त्रकराणि च ॥ २८ ॥
Hundreds of headless, limbless trunks were seen dancing and bouncing with arrows sticking to their hands.

नद्यः प्रवर्तितास्तत्र शतशोऽसृङ्वहास्तदा ॥ भूतप्रेतादयस्तत्र शतशश्च समागताः ॥२९॥
Blood flowed like streams in hundreds of places. Hundreds of ghosts and goblins flocked there.

Jackals and vixens began eating the flesh. Numbers of vultures, kites, crows and carnivorous birds devoured the flesh of those falling down.
