शूलं पिनाकं परशुं शक्ति पाशुपतं शरम् ॥ संहारास्त्रं च परमां विद्यां तस्मै ददौ शिवः ॥४१॥
Śiva gave him the trident, the bow Pināka, the axe, the arrow Paśupata, the weapon of destruction and the greatest lore.
english translation
अदामहं यज्ञसूत्रं वेदांश्च वेदमातरम् ॥ कमण्डलुं च ब्रह्मास्त्रं विद्यां चैवाऽरिमर्दिनीम् ॥ ४२ ॥
I gave him the holy thread, the Vedas, the mantra Gāyatrī, the vessel Kamaṇḍalu, the arrow Brahmāstra and the lore that destroys the enemy.

गजेन्द्रं चैव वज्रं च ददौ तस्मै सुरेश्वरः ॥ श्वेतच्छत्रं रत्नमालां ददौ वस्तुं जलेश्वरः ॥४३॥
Then Indra gave him a lordly elephant and a thunderbolt. The lord of the waters, Varuṇa, gave him a white umbrella and a necklace of gems to wear.

मनोयायिरथं सूर्यस्सन्नाहं च महाचयम् ॥ यमदंडं यमश्चैव सुधाकुंभं सुधानिधिः ॥४४॥
The sun gave him a chariot as fast as the mind and a coat of mail with great equipments; Yama his own staff: the moon a vessel full of nectar.

हुताशनो ददौ प्रीत्या महाशक्तिं स्वसूनवे ॥ ददौ स्वशस्त्रं निर्ऋतिर्वायव्यास्त्रं समीरणः ॥४५॥
Agni lovingly gave him a spear; Nirṛti his own weapon and the wind his own weapon.
