तद्वादशमनार्थं स षण्मुखानि चकार ह ॥ पपौ दुग्धं च सर्वासां तुष्टास्ता अभवन्मुने ॥ ३१ ॥
In order to quell their mutual dispute, the boy assumed six faces and drank milk off their breasts. O sage, they were all satisfied.

तन्मनोगतिमाज्ञाय सर्वास्ताः कृत्तिकास्तदा ॥ तमादाय ययुर्लोकं स्वकीयं मुदिता मुने ॥३२॥
Understanding his intention, O Sage, all the Krittikas then took him (the child) and joyfully went to their own abode (celestial realm).

तं बालकं कुमाराख्यं स्तनं दत्त्वा स्तनार्थिने ॥ वर्द्धयामासुरीशस्य सुतं सूर्याधिकप्रभम् ॥३३॥
That child, named Kumāra, who sought the breast, was given milk and nurtured — he, the son of the Lord of the gods (Shiva), grew with a radiance greater than the sun.

न चक्रुर्बालकं याश्च लोचनानामगोचरम् ॥ प्राणेभ्योपि प्रेमपात्रं यः पोष्टा तस्य पुत्रक ॥३४॥
They never let him go out of their sight. He became the object of their love, dearer to them than their own lives. Verily he who nurses and nurtures the child has the right of possession over the son.

यानि यानि च वस्त्राणि त्रैलोक्ये दुर्लभानि च ॥ ददुस्तस्मै च ताः प्रेम्णा भूषणानि वराणि वै ॥३५॥
With great love they gave him the rarest garments and excellent ornaments in the three worlds.
