प्रत्ययार्थं च जगतामेकस्थोऽपि दिवाकरः॥ एकोऽपि बहुधा दृष्टो जलाधारादिवस्तुषु ॥ ५९ ॥

sanskrit

Although the sun is situated in one place, for the sake of the perceptions of the world, he appears in many forms— just as a single object appears multiplied when reflected in different vessels of water.

english translation

pratyayArthaM ca jagatAmekastho'pi divAkaraH॥ eko'pi bahudhA dRSTo jalAdhArAdivastuSu ॥ 59 ॥
