सरस्वत्युवाच ।। प्राप्ता सती महादेवाधुना प्राणाधिका मुदा ।। दृष्ट्वा प्रियास्यञ्चन्द्राभं सन्तापन्त्यज कामुक ।। २६ ।।

sanskrit

Sarasvatī said: O great lord, Satī who was more than your life to you has now joyously rejoined you. O lover, seeing the face of your beloved of moonlike splendour, cast off the heat of your distress.

english translation

sarasvatyuvAca || prAptA satI mahAdevAdhunA prANAdhikA mudA || dRSTvA priyAsyaJcandrAbhaM santApantyaja kAmuka || 26 ||

कालं गमय कालेश सतीसंश्लेषपूर्वकम् ।। विश्लेषस्ते न भविता सर्वकालं ममाश्रिता ।। २७ ।।

sanskrit

Spend your time, O lord of time, in the close embrace of Satī. Thanks to my fervent wish, there will be no separation at any time between you both.

लक्ष्मीरुवाच ।। लज्जां विहाय देवेश सतीं कृत्वा स्ववक्षसि ।। तिष्ठ ताम्प्रति का लज्जा प्राणा यान्ति यया विना ।। २८ ।।

sanskrit

Lakṣmī said: O lord of gods, leave off your shyness. Take Satī to your bosom and stand close to her. Why do you feel shy of her without whom your vital airs may go off.

english translation

lakSmIruvAca || lajjAM vihAya deveza satIM kRtvA svavakSasi || tiSTha tAmprati kA lajjA prANA yAnti yayA vinA || 28 ||

सावित्र्युवाच ।। भोजयित्वा सती शम्भो शीघ्रं त्वं भुंक्ष्व मा खिद ।। तदाचम्य सकर्पूरन्तांबूलं देहि सादरम् ।। २९ ।।

sanskrit

Sāvitrī said: O Śiva, give the sweets to Śatī and eat them yourself. Do not be in a flutter. Perform Ācamana and offer her betel leaves along with camphor.

english translation

sAvitryuvAca || bhojayitvA satI zambho zIghraM tvaM bhuMkSva mA khida || tadAcamya sakarpUrantAMbUlaM dehi sAdaram || 29 ||

जाह्नव्युवाच ।। स्वर्णकांतिकरां धृत्वा केशान्मार्जय योषितः ।। कामिन्यास्स्वामिसौभाग्यसुखं नातः परं भवेत् ।। 2.3.50.३० ।।

Jāhnavī said: Take hold of the hand of your beloved wife glittering with gold and stroke her hair. There is no higher pleasure at the hands of her lover to a loving maiden than this.

english translation

jAhnavyuvAca || svarNakAMtikarAM dhRtvA kezAnmArjaya yoSitaH || kAminyAssvAmisaubhAgyasukhaM nAtaH paraM bhavet || 2.3.50.30 ||
