॥ ब्रह्मोवाच॥ ततश्चाहं मुनिगणैश्शेषकृत्यं शिवाज्ञया ॥ अकार्षं नारद प्रीत्या शिवाशिवविवाहतः ॥ १ ॥
Brahmā said: O Nārada, thereafter at the bidding of Śiva, I carried out the concluding ceremonies of the wedding of Śiva and Pārvatī joyously through the sages.

॥ brahmovAca॥ tatazcAhaM munigaNaizzeSakRtyaM zivAjJayA ॥ akArSaM nArada prItyA zivAzivavivAhataH ॥ 1 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतयोश्शिरोऽभिषेकश्च बभूवादरतस्ततः॥ ध्रुवस्यदर्शनं विप्राः कारयामासुरादरात॥२॥
Their ceremonial head-bath was respectfully gone through. The brahmins showed the Pole star Dhruva with respect.

tayozziro'bhiSekazca babhUvAdaratastataH॥ dhruvasyadarzanaM viprAH kArayAmAsurAdarAta॥2॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptहृदयालम्भनं कर्म बभूव तदनन्तरम् ॥ स्वस्तिपाठश्च विप्रेन्द्र महोत्सवपुरस्सरः ॥ ३ ॥
Thereafter the rite of Hṛdayālambhana was performed. O great brahmin, then Svastipāṭha was jubilantly celebrated.

hRdayAlambhanaM karma babhUva tadanantaram ॥ svastipAThazca viprendra mahotsavapurassaraH ॥ 3 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशिवाशिरसि सिन्दूरं ददौ शम्भुर्द्विजाज्ञया ॥ तदानीं गिरिजाभिख्याद्भुतावर्ण्या बभूव ह ॥४॥
At the behest of the brahmins, Śiva applied Red powder on the head of Pārvatī. The lustre of Pārvatī at that time was beyond description and very wondrous.

zivAzirasi sindUraM dadau zambhurdvijAjJayA ॥ tadAnIM girijAbhikhyAdbhutAvarNyA babhUva ha ॥4॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततो विप्राज्ञया तौ द्वावेकासनसमास्थितौ ॥ लेभाते परमां शोभां भक्तचित्त मुदावहाम् ॥५॥
Thereafter at the bidding of the brahmins both sat on the same cushion and attained such a lustre as accentuated joy in the hearts of the devotees.
english translation
tato viprAjJayA tau dvAvekAsanasamAsthitau ॥ lebhAte paramAM zobhAM bhaktacitta mudAvahAm ॥5॥
