यदर्थे देवतास्सर्वा आयाता किंकरीकृताः ॥ द्वारि ते सोत्सवाश्चाद्य किमतोऽन्यत्परं सुखम् ॥ ५६ ॥
It is for him that all the gods, as attendants, have come here. They stand in a festive mood at your threshold. What more pleasure do you need?
english translation
उत्तिष्ठातः प्रयत्नेन जीवितं सफलं कुरु । देहि मां त्वं शिवायास्मै स्वाश्रमं कुरु सार्थकम् ॥५७॥
Hence get up. Endeavour to make your life fruitful. Give me to Śiva. Make my effort meaningful.

देहि मां परमेशाय शंकराय जनन्यहो ॥ स्वीकुरु त्वमिमं मातर्विनयम्मे ब्रवीमि ते ॥५८॥
O mother, give me to lord Śiva. O mother, agree to my humble entreaty. I request you.

चेन्न दास्यसि तस्मै मां न वृणेऽन्यमहं वरम् ॥ भागं लभेत्कथं सैंहं शृगालः परवंचकः ॥५९॥
If you do not give me to Śiva, I am not going to woo anyone else. How can a jackal, the cunning cheat, seize the share of the lion?
english translation
मनसा वचसा मातः कर्मणा च हरस्त्वयम् ॥ मया वृतो वृतश्चैव यदिच्छसि तथा कुरु ॥ 2-3-44-६० ॥
O mother, Śiva has been wooed, yes, wooed by me mentally, verbally, and physically. You can do what you please.
