वेदोक्तविधिना सर्वे वेदवेदांगपारगाः ॥ रक्षां चक्रुर्महेशस्य कृत्वा कौतुकमंगलम् ॥ ५६ ॥
All of them who had mastered the Vedas and Vedāṅgas performed the safety rites for Śiva and tied the auspicious thread round his wrist.
english translation
vedoktavidhinA sarve vedavedAMgapAragAH ॥ rakSAM cakrurmahezasya kRtvA kautukamaMgalam ॥ 56 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptऋग्यजुस्सामसूक्तैस्तु तथा नानाविधैः परैः ॥ मंगलानि च भूरीणि चक्रुः प्रीत्यर्षयोऽखिलाः ॥५७॥
By reciting hymns from Ṛk, Yajus, and Sāman they performed the holy rites. All the sages were greatly pleased.
english translation
RgyajussAmasUktaistu tathA nAnAvidhaiH paraiH ॥ maMgalAni ca bhUrINi cakruH prItyarSayo'khilAH ॥57॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptग्रहाणां पूजनं प्रीत्या चक्रुस्ते शम्भुना मया ॥ मण्डलस्थसुराणां च सर्वेषां विघ्नशान्तये।५८॥
In order to ward off obstacles they performed the adoration of the planets under my instruction. They worshipped the gods stationed in the altar.
english translation
grahANAM pUjanaM prItyA cakruste zambhunA mayA ॥ maNDalasthasurANAM ca sarveSAM vighnazAntaye।58॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततश्शिवस्तु सन्तुष्टः कृत्वा सर्वं यथोचितम्॥ लौकिकं वैदिकं कर्म ननाम च मुदा द्विजान् ॥५९॥
After performing the social and Vedic rites in a fitting manner Śiva became pleased and bowed to the brahmins joyously.
english translation
tatazzivastu santuSTaH kRtvA sarvaM yathocitam॥ laukikaM vaidikaM karma nanAma ca mudA dvijAn ॥59॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथ सर्वेश्वरो विप्रान्देवान्कृत्वा पुरस्सरान् ॥ निस्ससार मुदा तस्मात्कैलासात्पर्वतोत्तमात् ॥2-3-39-६०॥
Then the lord of all started from the excellent mountain Kailāsa keeping the brahmins and the gods ahead.
english translation
atha sarvezvaro viprAndevAnkRtvA purassarAn ॥ nissasAra mudA tasmAtkailAsAtparvatottamAt ॥2-3-39-60॥
