त्वद्भक्तो यो भवेत्स्वामिन्मम प्रियतरो हि सः ॥ एवं वै यो विजानाति तस्य मुक्तिर्न दुर्लभा ॥ ३१ ॥
O lord, whoever be your devotee shall also be my favourite. He who knows and realises this shall not find salvation inaccessible to him.

महिमा च मदीयोद्य वर्द्धितो भवता ध्रुवम् ॥ कदाचिदगुणश्चैव जायते क्षम्यतामिति ॥ ३२ ॥
My greatness has been further heightened by you certainly. If ever I am found deficient in qualities I may be excused.

ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ तदा शंभुस्तदीयं हि श्रुत्वा वचनमुत्तमम् ॥ उवाच विष्णुं सुप्रीत्या क्षम्या तेऽगुणता मया ॥ ३३ ॥
Brahmā said: Then, on hearing the excellent words of Viṣṇu, Śiva said to him “Of course the deficiency shall be excused lovingly.

एवमुक्त्वा हरिं नौ स कराभ्यां परमेश्वरः ॥ पस्पर्श सकलांगेषु कृपया तु कृपानिधिः ॥३४॥
After saying this mercifully the lord, the ocean of mercy, stroked us all over the body with His hands.

आदिश्य विविधान्धर्मान्सर्वदुःखहरो हरः ॥ ददौ वराननेकांश्चावयोर्हितचिकीर्षया॥ ३५ ॥
With a desire to do what is wholesome to us He instructed us in various sacred rites and conferred on us many boons.
