सूत् उवाच ।। इति श्रुत्वा वचस्तस्य स्वपतेश्शंकरस्य वै ।। सुप्रसन्ना विहस्याशु पार्वती वाक्यमब्रवीत् ।। २१ ।।

On hearing the words of her husband Śiva, the delighted Pārvatī laughed and spoke these words.

english translation

sUt uvAca || iti zrutvA vacastasya svapatezzaMkarasya vai || suprasannA vihasyAzu pArvatI vAkyamabravIt || 21 ||

पार्वत्युवाच ।। भवदीयं वचस्तथ्यं युगांते संभविष्यति ।। तावच्च तामसी सृष्टिर्भवत्विति मतं मम ।। २२।।

Pārvatī said:— “Your words will be true at the end of this Yuga. Till then, I think, there can be the Tāmasaic creations as well.

pArvatyuvAca || bhavadIyaM vacastathyaM yugAMte saMbhaviSyati || tAvacca tAmasI sRSTirbhavatviti mataM mama || 22||

अन्यथा प्रलयस्स्याद्वै सत्यं मे व्याहृतं शिव ।। प्रमाणीक्रियतां नाथ त्वदीयास्मि त्वदाश्रया ।। २३।।

Otherwise the dissolution will take place even now. O Śiva, let the words uttered by me be proved true. O lord, I belong to you. I depend on you.

anyathA pralayassyAdvai satyaM me vyAhRtaM ziva || pramANIkriyatAM nAtha tvadIyAsmi tvadAzrayA || 23||

इयं च दारुका देवी राक्षसी शक्तिका मम ।। बलिष्ठा राक्षसीनां च रक्षोराज्यं प्रशास्तु च ।। २४।।

This Rākṣasī Dārukā is my own Śakti. She is the most powerful among the Rākṣasīs. Let her rule over the kingdom of the Rākṣasas.

iyaM ca dArukA devI rAkSasI zaktikA mama || baliSThA rAkSasInAM ca rakSorAjyaM prazAstu ca || 24||

इमा राक्षसपत्न्यस्तु प्रसविष्यंति पुत्रकान् ।। ते सर्वे मिलिताश्चैव वने वासाय मे मताः ।। २५ ।।

These wives of the Rākṣasas will give birth to sons. I have permitted all of them to live jointly in the forest.

imA rAkSasapatnyastu prasaviSyaMti putrakAn || te sarve militAzcaiva vane vAsAya me matAH || 25 ||
