मध्यज्योतिस्स्वरूपं च शिवरूपं तदद्भुतम् ॥ परिवारसमायुक्तं दृष्ट्वा चापूजयत्स वै ॥ ११ ॥
Seeing in its midst the wonderfully brilliant form of Śiva along with his attendants he worshipped him.
english translation
पूजितश्च तदा शंभुः प्रसन्नो ह्यभवत्स्वयम् ॥ अस्त्रं पाशुपतं नाम दत्त्वा राक्षसपुंगवान् ॥ १२ ॥
Then Lord Śambhu was worshiped and pleased himself He gave the chief of the demons a weapon called Pashupata.
english translation
जघान सोपकरणांस्तान्सर्वान्सगणान्द्रुतम् ॥ अरक्षच्च स्वभक्तं वै दुष्टहा स हि शंकरः ॥ १३॥
He killed all of them with their equipment in a hurry. He protected his devotee for he is Lord Śiva who kills the wicked.
english translation
सर्वांस्तांश्च तदा हत्वा वरं प्रादाद्वनस्य च ॥ अत्यद्भुतकरश्शंभुस्स्वलीलात्तसुविग्रहः ॥ १४॥
After killing all of them, Śiva the creator of his Oracles and who assumes bodies in the course of sports granted a boon to the forest.
english translation
अस्मिन्वने सदा वर्णधर्मा वै संभवंतु च ॥ ब्राह्मणक्षत्रियविशां शूद्राणां हि तथैव च ॥ १५ ॥
May the rites and activities of the four castes, Brahmins, Kṣatriyas, Vaiśyas and Śūdras flourish in this forest always.
