एवं कृतनमस्कारं शिष्यन्दद्याद्गुरुः स्वयम् ॥ सुशीलं यतवाचं तं विनयावनतं स्थितम् ॥ ५१ ॥
When the disciple has finished the customary obeisance he shall stand humbly and silently like a well behaved disciple. The preceptor shall tell him like this.
english translation
evaM kRtanamaskAraM ziSyandadyAdguruH svayam ॥ suzIlaM yatavAcaM taM vinayAvanataM sthitam ॥ 51 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअद्यप्रभृति लोकानामनुग्रहपरो भव ॥ परीक्ष्य वत्सरं शिष्यमंगीकुरु विधानतः ॥ ५२॥
“From now onwards be engaged in blessing the worlds. Accept a disciple only after testing him for a year. Accept him duly.
english translation
adyaprabhRti lokAnAmanugrahaparo bhava ॥ parIkSya vatsaraM ziSyamaMgIkuru vidhAnataH ॥ 52॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptरागादिदोषान्संत्यज्य शिवध्यानपरो भव ॥ सत्सम्प्रदायसंसिद्धैस्संगं कुरु न चेतरैः ॥ ५३ ॥
Eschew the faults of lust etc. and be devoted to meditation on Śiva. Associate with those who have inherited good tradition and not with others.
english translation
rAgAdidoSAnsaMtyajya zivadhyAnaparo bhava ॥ satsampradAyasaMsiddhaissaMgaM kuru na cetaraiH ॥ 53 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअनभ्यर्च्य शिवं जातुमा भुंक्ष्वाप्राण संक्षयम् ॥ गुरुभक्तिं समास्थाय सुखी भव सुखी भव ॥ ५४ ॥
Till the end of your life never take food without worshipping Śiva. Abiding by your devotion to the preceptor be happy, be happy.”
english translation
anabhyarcya zivaM jAtumA bhuMkSvAprANa saMkSayam ॥ gurubhaktiM samAsthAya sukhI bhava sukhI bhava ॥ 54 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइति क्रमाद्गुरुवरो दयालुर्ज्ञानसागरः ॥ सानुकूलेन चित्तेन समं शिष्यं समाचरेत् ॥ ५५ ॥
In this manner the excellent preceptor, sympathetic and scholarly, shall be favourably inclined towards the disciple.
english translation
iti kramAdguruvaro dayAlurjJAnasAgaraH ॥ sAnukUlena cittena samaM ziSyaM samAcaret ॥ 55 ॥
