ततः कुम्भं समुत्थाय स्वस्तिवाचनपूर्वकम् ॥ अभिषिंचेद्गुरुः शिष्यं प्रादक्षिण्येन मस्तके ॥ ३६ ॥
The preceptor shall raise the vessel. Repeating “Svasti” he shall pour water on the head of the disciple making a circle with the inverted pot.
english translation
tataH kumbhaM samutthAya svastivAcanapUrvakam ॥ abhiSiMcedguruH ziSyaM prAdakSiNyena mastake ॥ 36 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रणवं पूर्वमुच्चार्य्य सप्तधा ब्रह्मभि स्ततः ॥ पञ्चभिश्चाभिषेकान्ते शंखोदेनाभिवेष्टयेत् ॥ ३७ ॥
After uttering the Praṇava once first and then seven times with the names of five Brahmans he shall encircle him at the end of the ablution with the water from the conch.
english translation
praNavaM pUrvamuccAryya saptadhA brahmabhi stataH ॥ paJcabhizcAbhiSekAnte zaMkhodenAbhiveSTayet ॥ 37 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptचारुदीपं प्रदर्श्याथ वाससा परिमृज्य च ॥ नूतनं दोरकौपीनं वाससी परिधापयेत् ॥ ३८ ॥
After the rite of waving the charming light he shall wipe him with a towel. The disciple shall be made to wear a new waistband, a loin-cloth and two wearing cloths.
english translation
cArudIpaM pradarzyAtha vAsasA parimRjya ca ॥ nUtanaM dorakaupInaM vAsasI paridhApayet ॥ 38 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptक्षालितांघ्रिर्द्विराचम्य धृतभस्मगुरुश्शिशुम् ॥ हस्ताभ्यामवलंब्याथ हस्तौ मंडपमध्यतः ॥ ३९ ॥
After washing his feet he washed himself twice and the ashes were placed on the child Then he leaned his hands together in the middle of the pavilion.
english translation
kSAlitAMghrirdvirAcamya dhRtabhasmaguruzzizum ॥ hastAbhyAmavalaMbyAtha hastau maMDapamadhyataH ॥ 39 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतदंगेषु समालिप्य तद्भस्म विधिना गुरुः ॥ आसने संप्रवेश्याथ कल्पिते स्थापयेत्सुखम्॥ ४०॥
The preceptor smeared the ashes on his limbs according to the prescribed ritual Then he should enter the seat and place it comfortably in the imaginary place.

tadaMgeSu samAlipya tadbhasma vidhinA guruH ॥ Asane saMpravezyAtha kalpite sthApayetsukham॥ 40॥
