स मा॑मृजे ति॒रो अण्वा॑नि मे॒ष्यो॑ मी॒ळ्हे सप्ति॒र्न वा॑ज॒युः । अ॒नु॒माद्य॒: पव॑मानो मनी॒षिभि॒: सोमो॒ विप्रे॑भि॒ॠक्व॑भिः ॥ स मामृजे तिरो अण्वानि मेष्यो मीळ्हे सप्तिर्न वाजयुः । अनुमाद्यः पवमानो मनीषिभिः सोमो विप्रेभिॠक्वभिः ॥
Desirous of (bestowing) food, passing through the interstices of the fleece the Soma is adorned like a horse in the battle; the Pavamāna, to be rejoiced in (by all, praised) by the intelligent, the sages, the reciters of sacred songs.

प्र सो॑म दे॒ववी॑तये॒ सिन्धु॒र्न पि॑प्ये॒ अर्ण॑सा । अं॒शोः पय॑सा मदि॒रो न जागृ॑वि॒रच्छा॒ कोशं॑ मधु॒श्चुत॑म् ॥ प्र सोम देववीतये सिन्धुर्न पिप्ये अर्णसा । अंशोः पयसा मदिरो न जागृविरच्छा कोशं मधुश्चुतम् ॥
You are fed with water, Soma, like a river, for the banquet of the gods; with the juice of your filament you go to the honey-dropping receptacle, exhilarating, vigilant.

आ ह॑र्य॒तो अर्जु॑ने॒ अत्के॑ अव्यत प्रि॒यः सू॒नुर्न मर्ज्य॑: । तमीं॑ हिन्वन्त्य॒पसो॒ यथा॒ रथं॑ न॒दीष्वा गभ॑स्त्योः ॥ आ हर्यतो अर्जुने अत्के अव्यत प्रियः सूनुर्न मर्ज्यः । तमीं हिन्वन्त्यपसो यथा रथं नदीष्वा गभस्त्योः ॥
Agreeable affectionate like a son about to be decorated, the Soma is clad in a shining robe; they send him with thei rarms into the streams as active (warriors and their) chariot into (battle).

अ॒भि सोमा॑स आ॒यव॒: पव॑न्ते॒ मद्यं॒ मद॑म् । स॒मु॒द्रस्याधि॑ वि॒ष्टपि॑ मनी॒षिणो॑ मत्स॒रास॑: स्व॒र्विद॑: ॥ अभि सोमास आयवः पवन्ते मद्यं मदम् । समुद्रस्याधि विष्टपि मनीषिणो मत्सरासः स्वर्विदः ॥
The swift Soma send forth their inebriating juice upon the uplifted (filter) of the firmament, intelligent, exhilarating, all-acquiring.

तर॑त्समु॒द्रं पव॑मान ऊ॒र्मिणा॒ राजा॑ दे॒व ऋ॒तं बृ॒हत् । अर्ष॑न्मि॒त्रस्य॒ वरु॑णस्य॒ धर्म॑णा॒ प्र हि॑न्वा॒न ऋ॒तं बृ॒हत् ॥ तरत्समुद्रं पवमान ऊर्मिणा राजा देव ऋतं बृहत् । अर्षन्मित्रस्य वरुणस्य धर्मणा प्र हिन्वान ऋतं बृहत् ॥
The divine royal (Soma) vast and true, undergoing purification traverses the firmament in a stream; vast and true, being sent forth he flows for the support of Mitra and Varuṇa.
