अनु॑ ते॒ शुष्मं॑ तु॒रय॑न्तमीयतुः क्षो॒णी शिशुं॒ न मा॒तरा॑ । विश्वा॑स्ते॒ स्पृध॑: श्नथयन्त म॒न्यवे॑ वृ॒त्रं यदि॑न्द्र॒ तूर्व॑सि ॥ अनु ते शुष्मं तुरयन्तमीयतुः क्षोणी शिशुं न मातरा । विश्वास्ते स्पृधः श्नथयन्त मन्यवे वृत्रं यदिन्द्र तूर्वसि ॥
Heaven and earth follow your destructive energy as mothers their child; since you smite Vṛtra, all the hostile hosts, Indra, faint at your wrath.”
english translation
इ॒त ऊ॒ती वो॑ अ॒जरं॑ प्रहे॒तार॒मप्र॑हितम् । आ॒शुं जेता॑रं॒ हेता॑रं र॒थीत॑म॒मतू॑र्तं तुग्र्या॒वृध॑म् ॥ इत ऊती वो अजरं प्रहेतारमप्रहितम् । आशुं जेतारं हेतारं रथीतममतूर्तं तुग्र्यावृधम् ॥
(Worshippers), summon here for protecting him who never grows old, the repeller (of enemies), himselfnever expelled, the swift conqueror, the driver, the best of charioteers, unharmed of any, the augmenter of water.
english translation
इ॒ष्क॒र्तार॒मनि॑ष्कृतं॒ सह॑स्कृतं श॒तमू॑तिं श॒तक्र॑तुम् । स॒मा॒नमिन्द्र॒मव॑से हवामहे॒ वस॑वानं वसू॒जुव॑म् ॥ इष्कर्तारमनिष्कृतं सहस्कृतं शतमूतिं शतक्रतुम् । समानमिन्द्रमवसे हवामहे वसवानं वसूजुवम् ॥
We solicit for our protection Indra, the consecrator of others but himself consecrated by none, producedby strength, possessing a hundred-fold protection, possessing hundred-fold knowledge, a common deity tomany, hiding treasures in his store-house and sending wealth (to his votaries).
