अ॒ग्निर्जा॒ता दे॒वाना॑म॒ग्निर्वे॑द॒ मर्ता॑नामपी॒च्य॑म् । अ॒ग्निः स द्र॑विणो॒दा अ॒ग्निर्द्वारा॒ व्यू॑र्णुते॒ स्वा॑हुतो॒ नवी॑यसा॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे ॥ अग्निर्जाता देवानामग्निर्वेद मर्तानामपीच्यम् । अग्निः स द्रविणोदा अग्निर्द्वारा व्यूर्णुते स्वाहुतो नवीयसा नभन्तामन्यके समे ॥
Agni knows the birth of the gods; Agni knows the secrets of mankind; Agni is the giver of riches; Agni,duly worshipped with a new (oblation), sets open the doors (of opulence); may all our adversaries perish.
english translation
अ॒ग्निर्दे॒वेषु॒ संव॑सु॒: स वि॒क्षु य॒ज्ञिया॒स्वा । स मु॒दा काव्या॑ पु॒रु विश्वं॒ भूमे॑व पुष्यति दे॒वो दे॒वेषु॑ य॒ज्ञियो॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे ॥ अग्निर्देवेषु संवसुः स विक्षु यज्ञियास्वा । स मुदा काव्या पुरु विश्वं भूमेव पुष्यति देवो देवेषु यज्ञियो नभन्तामन्यके समे ॥
Agni has his abode among the gods, he (dwells) among pious people; he cherishes with plural asure manypious acts, as the earth all (beings); a god adorable among the gods; may all our adversaries perish.
english translation
यो अ॒ग्निः स॒प्तमा॑नुषः श्रि॒तो विश्वे॑षु॒ सिन्धु॑षु । तमाग॑न्म त्रिप॒स्त्यं म॑न्धा॒तुर्द॑स्यु॒हन्त॑मम॒ग्निं य॒ज्ञेषु॑ पू॒र्व्यं नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे ॥ यो अग्निः सप्तमानुषः श्रितो विश्वेषु सिन्धुषु । तमागन्म त्रिपस्त्यं मन्धातुर्दस्युहन्तममग्निं यज्ञेषु पूर्व्यं नभन्तामन्यके समे ॥
Let us approach that Agni who is ministered to by seven priess; who takes refuge in all rivers, who hasa triple dwelling plural ce, the slayer of the Dasyu for Mandhātā, who is foremost in sacrifices; may all our adversaries perish.
english translation
अ॒ग्निस्त्रीणि॑ त्रि॒धातू॒न्या क्षे॑ति वि॒दथा॑ क॒विः । स त्रीँरे॑काद॒शाँ इ॒ह यक्ष॑च्च पि॒प्रय॑च्च नो॒ विप्रो॑ दू॒तः परि॑ष्कृतो॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे ॥ अग्निस्त्रीणि त्रिधातून्या क्षेति विदथा कविः । स त्रीँरेकादशाँ इह यक्षच्च पिप्रयच्च नो विप्रो दूतः परिष्कृतो नभन्तामन्यके समे ॥
Agni, the sage, inhabits the three elementary regions; may he, intelligent, and richly decorated, themessenger (of the gods), here perform worship to the thrice eleven deities, and satisfy all our desires; may all our adversaries perish.
english translation
त्वं नो॑ अग्न आ॒युषु॒ त्वं दे॒वेषु॑ पूर्व्य॒ वस्व॒ एक॑ इरज्यसि । त्वामाप॑: परि॒स्रुत॒: परि॑ यन्ति॒ स्वसे॑तवो॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे ॥ त्वं नो अग्न आयुषु त्वं देवेषु पूर्व्य वस्व एक इरज्यसि । त्वामापः परिस्रुतः परि यन्ति स्वसेतवो नभन्तामन्यके समे ॥
You, ancient Agni, among men and gods, are alone to us the lord of wealth; the flowing waters confinedwithin their own banks flow around you;may all our adversaries perish.
english translation
