अह॑न्वृ॒त्रमृची॑षम और्णवा॒भम॑ही॒शुव॑म् । हि॒मेना॑विध्य॒दर्बु॑दम् ॥ अहन्वृत्रमृचीषम और्णवाभमहीशुवम् । हिमेनाविध्यदर्बुदम् ॥
The brilliant Indra slew Vṛtra, Aurṇavābha, Ahiśava; he smote Arbuda with frost.
english translation
प्र व॑ उ॒ग्राय॑ नि॒ष्टुरेऽषा॑ळ्हाय प्रस॒क्षिणे॑ । दे॒वत्तं॒ ब्रह्म॑ गायत ॥ प्र व उग्राय निष्टुरेऽषाळ्हाय प्रसक्षिणे । देवत्तं ब्रह्म गायत ॥
Sing aloud (priests) to the fierce, victorious (Indra) the overpowerer, the subduer (of foes), the praiseinspired by the gods.
english translation
यो विश्वा॑न्य॒भि व्र॒ता सोम॑स्य॒ मदे॒ अन्ध॑सः । इन्द्रो॑ दे॒वेषु॒ चेत॑ति ॥ यो विश्वान्यभि व्रता सोमस्य मदे अन्धसः । इन्द्रो देवेषु चेतति ॥
Indra, who, in the exhilaration of the quaffed Soma, makes known among the gods all pious rites.
english translation
इ॒ह त्या स॑ध॒माद्या॒ हरी॒ हिर॑ण्यकेश्या । वो॒ळ्हाम॒भि प्रयो॑ हि॒तम् ॥ इह त्या सधमाद्या हरी हिरण्यकेश्या । वोळ्हामभि प्रयो हितम् ॥
May those two golden-maned steeds, together exulting, bring him here to the salutary (sacrificial) food.
english translation
अ॒र्वाञ्चं॑ त्वा पुरुष्टुत प्रि॒यमे॑धस्तुता॒ हरी॑ । सो॒म॒पेया॑य वक्षतः ॥ अर्वाञ्चं त्वा पुरुष्टुत प्रियमेधस्तुता हरी । सोमपेयाय वक्षतः ॥
Indra, the glorified of many, let your horses, praised by Priyamedha, bring you down to drink the Soma.
