श॒ग्धी न॑ इन्द्र॒ यत्त्वा॑ र॒यिं यामि॑ सु॒वीर्य॑म् । श॒ग्धि वाजा॑य प्रथ॒मं सिषा॑सते श॒ग्धि स्तोमा॑य पूर्व्य ॥ शग्धी न इन्द्र यत्त्वा रयिं यामि सुवीर्यम् । शग्धि वाजाय प्रथमं सिषासते शग्धि स्तोमाय पूर्व्य ॥
Grant us, Indra, the wealth accompanied by vigour, which I solicit from you; give (wealth) first of all tohim desirous of gratifying you, presenting (sacrificial) food; give (wealth), you who are of old, to him who glorifies you.
english translation
श॒ग्धी नो॑ अ॒स्य यद्ध॑ पौ॒रमावि॑थ॒ धिय॑ इन्द्र॒ सिषा॑सतः । श॒ग्धि यथा॒ रुश॑मं॒ श्याव॑कं॒ कृप॒मिन्द्र॒ प्राव॒: स्व॑र्णरम् ॥ शग्धी नो अस्य यद्ध पौरमाविथ धिय इन्द्र सिषासतः । शग्धि यथा रुशमं श्यावकं कृपमिन्द्र प्रावः स्वर्णरम् ॥
Give to this our (worshipper) engaged in celebrating your sacred rites, Indra, (the wealth) whereby youhave protected the son of Puru, grant to the man (aspiring) to heaven (the wealth wherewith) you havepreserved, O Indra, Ruśama, Śyāvaka and Kṛpa.
english translation
कन्नव्यो॑ अत॒सीनां॑ तु॒रो गृ॑णीत॒ मर्त्य॑: । न॒ही न्व॑स्य महि॒मान॑मिन्द्रि॒यं स्व॑र्गृ॒णन्त॑ आन॒शुः ॥ कन्नव्यो अतसीनां तुरो गृणीत मर्त्यः । नही न्वस्य महिमानमिन्द्रियं स्वर्गृणन्त आनशुः ॥
What living mortal, the prompter of ever-rising (praises), may now glorify Indra? No one of thoseheretofore praising him have attained the greatness of the properties of Indra.
english translation
कदु॑ स्तु॒वन्त॑ ऋतयन्त दे॒वत॒ ऋषि॒: को विप्र॑ ओहते । क॒दा हवं॑ मघवन्निन्द्र सुन्व॒तः कदु॑ स्तुव॒त आ ग॑मः ॥ कदु स्तुवन्त ऋतयन्त देवत ऋषिः को विप्र ओहते । कदा हवं मघवन्निन्द्र सुन्वतः कदु स्तुवत आ गमः ॥
Who, praising you as the deity, (ever) hoped to sacrifice to you? What saint, what sage conveys (hispraises to yo?) When, opulent Indra, have you come to the invocation of one pouring out libations, of onerepeating (your) praise?
english translation
उदु॒ त्ये मधु॑मत्तमा॒ गिर॒: स्तोमा॑स ईरते । स॒त्रा॒जितो॑ धन॒सा अक्षि॑तोतयो वाज॒यन्तो॒ रथा॑ इव ॥ उदु त्ये मधुमत्तमा गिरः स्तोमास ईरते । सत्राजितो धनसा अक्षितोतयो वाजयन्तो रथा इव ॥
These most sweet songs, these hymns of praise ascent (to you), like triumphant chariots laden withwealth, charged with unfailing protections, intended to procure food.
